How Personal Information Is Collected
Raspberry Ripple collects personal information from customers in a variety of different ways depending on the type of contact that is made with the Company. The following are examples of how personal information about customers may be collected by the Company:
- The purchase of a Season Ticket;
- The purchase of a single ticket to a production purchased through Raspberry Ripple or associated ticketing website, in person, over the phone or on the website;
- The organisation of a group booking purchased through Raspberry Ripple or associated ticketing website;
- The organisation of a school’s booking purchased through Raspberry Ripple or associated ticketing website;
- Applying in a Company program, such as the Director Development Program;
- Making an individual donation to the Company;
- Registering for a Raspberry Ripple event, such as the Raspberry Ripple Workshops; and
- Registering as a member of the Company’s e-marketing lists through the Company’s website.
Raspberry Ripple may also collect personal information over the phone, in person or by electronic correspondence in order to undertake its regular artistic and administrative operations.
Why Personal Information Is Collected
Raspberry Ripple collects personal information in order to service the needs of its customers. For example the Company needs to store personal information from customers that purchase a Season Ticket Package, so that the Company can notify customers of any changes in date or time of a performance. Personal information will also be used to mail details to customers about Company events, special offers or extra performances and for market research purposes.
Raspberry Ripple may ask for specific health details from customers, if necessary, to enable us to attend to specific seating requirements or from individuals who are under the care of Raspberry Ripple staff for emergency purposes. These details are kept secure at all times and any individual can refrain from providing these details to the Company or request access and/ or amendment of these records.

Disclosure Of Personal Information
Raspberry Ripple will not sell, lend, disclose, or give personal information of its customers to any external individuals or organisations without first obtaining the customer’s consent, unless a disclosure is required by law. The Company may however, contact the customer on behalf of other organisations to offer discount tickets or information regarding their products. These organisations may include, but are not limited to:
- Other Performing Arts Organisations;
- Raspberry Ripple Sponsors; and
- Government Departments.
Keeping Personal Information Accurate
Raspberry Ripple is committed to ensure that the personal information it collects and uses is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, the accuracy of this personal information to a large extent depends on the information provided by customers. The Company asks that all customers:
- Advise if there are any errors in their personal information;
- Advise of any changes in their personal details, such as address and phone number.
Email And Website
Raspberry Ripple retains the email addresses and details of people who elect to join the Company’s emailing list to receive regular updates on Company productions/events or to request information. These email addresses are stored in a secure area on the Company system and will not be used for any other purpose without consent.
Raspberry Ripple’s website is a cookie-less site to the extent that no personal information is stored directly from the website within a cookie with the exception of Google Analytics cookies. Raspberry Ripple’s web site contains links to other sites.
Raspberry Ripple is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. The Company encourages users when they leave the site to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to the activities of Raspberry Ripple.
Access And Further Information
The provision of all personal information is voluntary, but if that information is not provided Raspberry Ripple may not be able to provide its customers with the products or services requested.
At any time customers have the right of access to their personal information or Raspberry Ripple’s privacy practices. Raspberry Ripple’s Privacy Plan
Employee Personal Information
Raspberry Ripple collects personal information about its employees in the course of its human resource management functions. Information about employee contact details, leave details and performance management is kept by the Company and updated on a regular basis. Access to employees’ personal information is restricted to the Raspberry Ripple staff as required.
Sponsors And Corporate Donations
Raspberry Ripple keeps details of its sponsors for marketing purposes. The information is kept for a period of 5 years and access to the sponsor’s personal information is restricted to Raspberry Ripple’s staff.
Existing contracts, licences and outsourcing arrangements. Raspberry Ripple does not currently have any arrangements where it discloses personal information to third parties.
Raspberry Ripple may obtain personal information through various ticketing agencies. The Company is not responsible for privacy compliance by such agencies.
At any time individuals have the right of access to their personal information or Raspberry Ripple’s privacy practices. If an individual believes that their personal information has not been dealt with in accordance with an Information Privacy Principle they may make a complaint to Raspberry Ripple seeking an internal review. A request for an internal review must be made in writing and must be made within 6 months from the date when the breach was suspected to have occurred. Requests should be forwarded in writing to Raspberry Ripple, c/o Footscray Community Arts Centre, 45 Moreland St, Footscray VIC 3011, or emailing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Requests for review will be acknowledged in writing within 14 days from the date on which the application was received, and will be processed within 60 days from the date on which the application was received. Applicants will be advised in writing of the Company’s decision.
If an applicant does not agree with the Company’s decision they may request an internal review. An Executive Member of the Company will arrange for an internal review to be carried out by a senior officer who has not previously been involved in the matter. The Company will provide a response in writing to the individual within 45 days. An Executive Member of the Company will provide a response in writing to the applicant.
